The Mangistau Regional Music and Drama Theatre named after Nurmukhan Zhanturin of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented the play «Guýy» («Well») at the II Theatre Festival of the member countries of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY). This play is based on the story of the same name by the Kazakh writer A. Kekibayev, written on the basis of real events.
What does a well mean for a desert area? It is life for all living things around. And the creative team of the Kazakh theatre very reliably presented this on stage. The heroes of the play - people living with their joys and sorrows next to the well, in the blink of an eye «transformed» into a herd of horses or sheep who came here to quench their thirst.
There were many interesting moments in the play, to which the audience in the hall of the National Drama Theatre named after Alp Arslan responded with friendly applause.
