During the meeting, the students were familiarized in detail with the content of the curriculum, discussed the possibility of making changes to the program of events taking into account the wishes of the participants, they were also given the opportunity to speak in order to more detailed acquaintances. The Turkmen delegates told the American side in detail about the areas of work of the institutions represented and the tasks set for the future.

In continuation of the event for an in-depth understanding of the US state structure, Professor Diana Lowenthal of the American University held a briefing on federalism. The briefing described in detail the US system of government, in particular, the separation of powers between the federal government (central government) and individual states. It was noted that such a system allows the states to maintain a certain degree of autonomy and control many issues that do not affect the entire country within their borders. The features were also considered the country's electoral system. Despite the educational nature of the main part of the meeting, the participants noted the presence of discussions and an exchange of views.

The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the leading professional exchange program of the U.S. Department of State. Through short-term visits to the United States, current and prospective foreign leaders in various fields get to know the country from their own experience and develop long-term relationships with American colleagues.
