On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan A. Nurberdieva received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belgium to Turkmenistan, Mr Luc Truyen.
During the meeting the diplomat was briefed on the key aspects of the foreign and internal policy of the Turkmen aimed at establishing wide international cooperation given the interests of all countries throughout the world. The guest was also briefed on the work of the Turkmen Parliament, and the reforms taken place in the law-making sphere.
Speaking about the prospect vectors of the Turkmen-Belgian partnership, the energy, agricultural complex, textile and chemical industries, financial and banking sphere, and many other spheres were mentioned as priority fields of bilateral partnership. It was noted that Belgian businessmen highly appreciated the new prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation opened up due to the open-door policy pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and favourable investment climate created in the country.
