President of Turkmenistan conducts a video conference

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducts a video conference with the khyakims of Ashgabat and velayats, and the Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan. The video conference agenda focused on the priority vectors of the state and social life, and, first of all, the grain harvesting campaign, as well as the progress in implementing construction projects in the regions of the country, and the issues of close adherence to the fire safety requirements.

During the meeting the Velayat Khyakims reported on the work carried out in the country within the framework of the large-scale national programmes, the grain harvesting and rice sowing campaigns. In particular, it was reported on the existing situation in construction of the social and cultural facilities in the Avaza National tourist zone. The Velayat Khyakims also reported on the measures taken to ensure the fire safety given the seasonal rise of temperature.

Commenting on the report the President gave instructions to take the necessary measures to complete the important campaign without loss within a short period of time, ensure uninterrupted maintenance and operation of agricultural machines and equipment. The President focused on the low pace of the grain harvest campaign in particular etraps of Ahal, Balkan, Lebap and Maty Velayats, and demanded to ensure the high level of works.

The Turkmen leader asked about the technical support to the harvesting campaign and demanded the relevant officials to study the working efficiency of grain harvester combines manufactured by different companies, and to prepare the necessary proposals.

Speaking about the progress in implementing construction projects, the Turkmen leader focused on the readiness of the Avaza national tourism zone. Putting emphasis on large-scale construction launched in Avaza, development of resort area, improvement of the infrastructure facilities, the President demanded that this work be speed up and rigorous control be kept of the adherence to schedule and quality of construction.

During a video conversation the Ashgabat Khyakim reported on the progress in implementing the large-scale urban planning programme and organizational arrangements taken to ensure fire safety in summer season. Reporting on fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions, the Ashgabat Khyakim informed the President of Turkmenistan on drafting the project on developing the 12th turn of the housing estate.

Dwelling upon the issues of developing the 12th turn of the housing estate, the Turkmen leader instructed the Ashgabat Khyakim on creation of all necessary conditions for the citizens of the Turkmen capital in new apartment houses. The Turkmen leader noted that the social and cultural facilities, including stores, areas for ritual events, medical institutions as well as recreation and entertainment facilities should be built on the territory allocated for the complex. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that the auxiliary and other premises located on the ground floors of apartment houses could be let on lease to private entrepreneurs.

Speaking about compliance with the fire safety regulations, the Turkmen leader instructed the Ashgabat Khyakim and the relevant structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan to take the necessary measures to prevent fires and ensure the proper control over this situation.

The Minister of Internal Affairs reported on the work of the affiliated structures, and organizational, technical and other measures taken to prevent fires in summer season. The Minister informed the Turkmen leader that at present the complex measures had been taken in this sphere.

Underlining the significance of execution of well-organized work to prevent fire hazard in all regions of the country, and, first of all, during the harvesting campaign, as well as protect gathered crop from spontaneous ignition, president Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the Minister of Internal Affairs to take this issue under rigorous control, and jointly with the local authorities to draft the plan of fire precaution measures.

Summing up the reports, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed dissatisfaction with the work of velayat khyakims on stocking cocoons. The Turkmen leader once again emphasized the paramount importance of the paces of the harvesting campaign, the progress in implementing construction works, as well as the measures taken to ensure fire safety, and instructed the relevant officials to take these issues under the rigorous control.
