As part of the competition "Mähre doly eneleriň ýüregi," held among theaters across the country, the Turkmen State Puppet Theater premiered the play "Ene", based on a work by Ayna Atayeva.
The fairy tale, filled with mythological characters such as Devs, nevertheless tells a story about very real things.

After becoming a widower, a forest Dev entrusts his child to a human family to be raised. The child grows up surrounded by his adoptive brothers and absorbs, like milk from his newfound mother, the virtues inherent in the human heart. However, this only saddens the father-Dev, as human emotions are foreign to him.
The production was directed by guest director Mekan Jumabayev, known for his vibrant work in drama theater. His directorial style is evident both in the creation of the stage space for the puppet theater and in the interesting group mise-en-scènes.
Filled with the spirit of tradition and national color, this fairy tale carries a moral message, encouraging the younger generation to cherish family ties, honor parents, and respect their roots.
The main roles are performed by two casts: Oguldondi Byashimova, Zyyada Kakalyeva; People's Artist of Turkmenistan Annachary Kakabayev; and Magtymguly Hudayberdiyev. Also featured in the production are Sohbet Pashaguliyev, Merdan Haydarov, Gulnar Orazgeldiyeva, Shirin Atayeva and Ogulay Akmammedova.
The new production by the Turkmen State Puppet Theater will undoubtedly resonate not only with children but also with adults, inspiring reflections on family values.
