On April 4, 2025, in Baku, the delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the 11th ministerial meeting within the framework of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.
Speaking at the event, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev spoke in detail about Azerbaijan's energy strategy, the importance of international cooperation, as well as the regional and international significance of the Southern Gas Corridor project.
In their speeches, the speakers emphasized that the Southern Gas Corridor plays an important role in ensuring Europe’s energy security in today’s global geopolitical conditions.
In addition, issues of expanding the infrastructure of the Southern Gas Corridor were discussed, including increasing the volume of gas supplies via the Trans Adriatic Pipeline, as well as the possibility of exporting gas to new European countries – the states of South-Eastern and Central Europe.
The meeting included an exchange of views on renewable energy projects, including offshore wind power plants to be located in the Caspian Sea.
During the event, documents aimed at expanding cooperation in the field of green energy were also signed.
