This was stated by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during the solemn ceremony in honor of Turkmenistan’s National Day at the World EXPO 2025. Many representatives of Japanese business circles actively participate in the implementation of large investment projects in the fuel and energy, construction, and transport sectors of our country, the head of state noted, expressing gratitude to the Government of Japan and businessmen for their assistance in these processes. We will continue to strengthen this cooperation.
The high effectiveness of the established fruitful Turkmen-Japanese interaction, which has acquired a long-term, strategic character due to the efforts of both sides, is also evidenced by a number of already successfully implemented joint projects.
“World EXPO 2025 promotes the development of cooperation between states, international organizations, economic and financial institutions, business circles, as well as advances effective directions, cutting-edge ideas, and technological solutions for economic and investment cooperation.
For Turkmenistan, the current World EXPO has special significance. It coincides with the United Nations General Assembly’s declaration of 2025 as the ‘International Year of Peace and Trust.’ Peace, trust, and equality must become the foundation of global economic relations,” emphasized the head of state.
Turkmenistan highly values the constructive partnership established with Japan. In recent years, interstate relations have actively developed on the basis of equality, mutual respect, and trust, including political, trade-economic, social, cultural-humanitarian, and other areas.
It should be noted that visitors to the National Pavilion will be able to familiarize themselves with the achievements of our country in the industrial and agricultural sectors, textile and chemical industries, tourism, and successes in other fields.
