President of Turkmenistan conducts a video conference

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a video conference with Vice Premier A. Yazmyradov, who is in charge of the agricultural complex of the country, khyakims of velayats and Ashgabat, as well as the heads of a number of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan.

The velayat khyakims reported on the progress of the grain harvesting campaign and caring of the cotton fields, the measures taken to implement the large-scale national programmes and the progress in implementing the construction projects.

Commenting on the reports, the Turkmen leader demanded the velayat khyakims to use every day to accelerate the harvesting campaign engaging the whole fleet of agricultural equipment that is regularly replenished and modernized.

President of Turkmenistan expressed dissatisfaction with the low paces of the harvesting campaign in some etraps and demanded the khyakims of these regions to analyze the situation and take urgent measures to eliminate the shortcomings in order to complete the grain harvesting campaign in time as well as to ensure the proper storage of the harvested crop.

Dwelling upon the issues regarding the seasonal agricultural activities, the Turkmen leader noted with satisfaction that this year Turkmen cotton growers would harvest a good crop of ‘white gold’ and underlined the necessity to fulfill all necessary agricultural measures to treat cotton timely and at the high level.

Dwelling upon the progress in implementing construction of the social and economic facilities in the regions, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the relevant officials to take implementation of these projects under the rigorous control.

Addressing Balkan Velayat Khyakim S. Satlykov, the President of Turkmenistan noted that during the school holidays and the season of labour leaves our compatriots with their families were planning to visit the Caspian coast underlining the importance of creating optimal conditions for recreation and gave the specific instructions to the relevant officials.

Commenting on the report of Lebap Velayat Khyakim Ya. Yaylyev, who presented the draft project of a velayat four-storey library that would occupy the two-hectare area and include reading halls, conference hall and observatory, the Turkmen leader made a number of important сhanges and amendments.

During a video conference President of Turkmenistan Gurbaguly Berdimuhamedov made a number of appointments. In particular, the President of Turkmenistan appointed Ch. Ovezov, who had held the position of the Lebap Velayat Deputy Khyakim for construction, Khyakim of Serdarabat Etrap. The Turkmen leader appointed E.Gayypov Lebap Velayat Deputy Khyakim for construction.

Chairman of the Turkmenobahyzmat Association Ch.Charlyev reported on the measures taken to efficiently use and maintain the agricultural equipment engaged in the grain harvesting campaign.

Noting that it is not reasonable to relocate grain harvester combines from one region to another during the harvesting campaign, the Turkmen leader instructed the relevant officials to take all necessary measures to ensure an uninterrupted and efficient work of the agricultural equipment on the wheat fields.

Chairman of the Turkmengallaonumleri Association E.Ashyrov reported on the measures taken to ensure the safety of the 2012 wheat harvest.

Underlining the importance of taking this issue under the rigorous control, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the significance of creating all necessary conditions to ensure the proper work of receiving points and elevators to store grain.

Minister of Agriculture M.Bayramov reported on the existing situation in the agro-industrial sector, in particular the grain harvesting campaign.

The President severely reprimanded Minister of Agriculture M.Bayramov for the failure to effectively manage the agricultural activities and demanded the Minister to take the most responsible approach to solution of all organizational issues.

Vice Premier A.Yazmyradov, who is in charge of the agricultural sector, reported on the progress in implementing the seasonal agricultural activities, in particular the grain harvesting campaign and the use of agricultural equipment purchased by the Turkmen Government for the needs of the agro-industrial sector of the country, as well as the measures taken to care about cotton fields.

Commenting on the report and noting that the harvesting campaign is close to the end, the Turkmen leader expressed dissatisfaction with the low paces of the harvesting campaign in etraps. The President of Turkmenistan demanded to analyze the situation in the regions and take all necessary measures to eliminate the shortcomings.

The President of Turkmenistan instructed the relevant officials to pay particular attention to the agricultural zoning, and local conditions for growing wheat, and developing the national farming traditions on a scientific basis.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed Chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber of Turkmenistan B.Atdaev to carry out the thorough inspection of the grain storage conditions and its transportation from the fields to the receiving points and elevators.

Ashgabat Khyakim Sh.Durdylyev reported on the progress in implementing construction of various objects, the works on reconstruction and modernization of buildings and roads, as well as informed the Turkmen leader on completion of construction works at a number of significant buildings.

Making a number of specific comments and recommendations, and noting that it was necessary to pay significant attention to each detail, including aesthetic component in the further development and improvement of Ashgabat, creation of a modern, comfortable urban environment, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that the national colors should be reflected in the architecture of the main city of the country.

Summing up the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan once again underlined the necessity of increasing the efficiency of organizational work in solution of tasks aimed at social and economic development of the country, and increase of the Turkmen people’s wellbeing.
