The festive ceremony of opening of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Turkey in Turkmenistan took place at the Palace of Mukams of the National Cultural Center. The artistic delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey attended the ceremony.
The Days of Culture of the Republic of Turkey in Turkmenistan held in accordance with the top level agreements achieved during the meeting of Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Abdullah Gul that were also reflected in the Joint Declaration dedicated to the 20th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relations serve as a bright symbol of the mutual aspiration of the two countries for enhancing the sincere and confidential dialogue.
The Address of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to participants and guests to the Days of Culture was presented during the ceremony. In his Address the Turkmen leader expressed belief that this action of friendship would be another contribution to developing humanitarian relations between the peoples of the two neighbouring countries.
Speaking during the ceremony, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Turkmenistan Shevki Mutevellioglu underlined that the Days of Culture of the Republic of Turkey in Turkmenistan would open a new page in developing relations between our countries and would allow the peoples of our countries learning more about the cultural values of each other.
The masters of culture and art of the Republic of Turkey, including famous singers and artistic groups from Ankara – State Folk Dance Group and the Тurk Dunyasi singing and musical group performed a big concert in the Palace of Mukams.
The artistic delegation of the Republic of Turkey also included cinematographers, journalists as well as the head and specialists of the Institute of Fashion and Design who brought their collection to Turkmenistan. The show of Turkish national costumes was arranged within the framework of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Turkey in Turkmenistan at the Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan, where the visitors could treat the Turkish national cuisine. In the afternoon the ceremony of opening the Days of Turkish Cinematography took place at the Turkmenistan Cinema and Concert Center.
Within the framework of their staying in the country, the guests will visit various sights of the Turkmen capital, the Alem Cultural and Entertainment Center, Ylham Park, the National Turkmen Carpet Museum, and the Nisa Historical and Cultural Reserve.
