On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan A. Nurberdieva received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola to Turkmenistan, Mr Joachima Augusto de Lemush.

On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan the Chairperson of the Parliament congratulated the diplomat on the appointment and wished him every success in strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between Turkmenistan and Thailand. Thanking for the kind words, the plenipotentiary representative of the friendly country expressed best wishes to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the people of Turkmenistan on behalf of President of the Republic of Angola Jose Eduardo dos Santos.

During the meeting the diplomat was briefed on the key aspects of the state policy of Turkmenistan, the national projects and programmes implemented in the country and the main vectors of the foreign-policy strategy of the Turkmen state.

The diplomat was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
