New Year exhibition of folk and applied arts “The World of Dolls and Toys”
On the eve of the upcoming New Year 2026, an exhibition of exclusive works by Turkmen craftswomen of folk and applied arts was held at the “Berkarar” shopping and entertainment center. The theme of the exhibition was New Year dolls and toys. Craftswomen from all over the country took part in the exhibition. For example, Tazegul Udaeva brought a collection of national dolls from Balkanabat, while Marina Lopatina from Mary velayat presented a collection of miniature items.

Festive performances by cultural and arts figures
Today, the capital hosted a festive concert featuring cultural figures and masters of the arts on the occasion of the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as heads of state and government of foreign countries who arrived in Turkmenistan to take part in the international celebrations.

Commotion in a Doll's house of Henrik Ibsen
In 1879, Norwegian writer and playwright Henrik Ibsen based his play «A Doll's house» on a true story. At the time, Norwegian society saw feminist undertones in the play and vehemently justified forgery of the Nora, citing a noble motive—a crime committed to save a loved one. Today, this view can be challenged, but that is not the point.

Husband or Wife —who will turn out to be cunning?

An exhibition titled “Bitaraplyk – baky bagtyň binýady”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, has opened at the History and Local Lore Museum of Dashoguz velayat. The exhibition features oil and graphic-style paintings by local artists, as well as sculptures and jewelry.
