On november 26, the awards ceremony for the winners of the creative competition “Köňülleri birleşdirýän sungat” (“Art that unites hearts”) was held at the Center of Public Organizations of Turkmenistan.
The competition was inspired by the words of the President of the country: “It is necessary to create all conditions for young people to study foreign languages in depth and to engage in literature and art. It is necessary to regularly hold creative competitions among them.” Having become a tradition, the competition is being organized for the fourth time.
This year, it was announced on the occasion of the glorious 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality and was organized jointly by the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, the Administration of the Turkmenistan Peace Fund, the Ministry of Education, and the editorial office of the magazine “Dünýä edebiýaty”.
The main goals of the competition are to foster patriotism among young people, develop their creative abilities, bring the peoples of the world closer together through literary translation, and identify talented young translators.
The requirement of the creative contest is the translation into Turkmen of materials about the national spiritual values of the Turkmen people from world languages.
As noted in an interview by the editor-in-chief of “Dünýä edebiýaty” magazine, Rahmet Gylyjov, the number of young people making use of the opportunities for self-realization created by the Hero-Arkadag and the President of the country is growing every year. It was also emphasized that this year’s competition received materials and articles translated from languages such as English, French, Italian, Arabic-Persian, Russian, Chinese, Turkish, and Korean, and that most of the translations were flawless.
Based on the results of the competition, the winners were announced and were presented with valuable gifts and Certificates of Honor.
It should be noted that the competition accepted materials that had not been previously translated or published, and that artificial intelligence was not used in their preparation.
