G. Saparova, a teacher of Korean at the Turkmen national institute of world languages named after Dovletmammet Azady, is participating in a professional training program on cooperation in higher education in Central Asia, which is taking place from the 7th to 15th of January at Kangwon national university in the Republic of Korea.
The internship for the Turkmen teacher was organised within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of science and education between the Turkmen national institute of world languages named after Dovletmammet Azady and Kangwon national university.
The curriculum includes general education classes, group learning, as well as cultural-educational and other activities.
The priority areas of training are the introduction of modern pedagogical methods of teaching Korean as a foreign language, enrichment of the content of the educational process and the experience of teachers.
As part of the professional program, participants are given classes to study and practice advanced and effective Korean language teaching methods based on the teaching materials of Kangwon national university. Particular attention is paid to language teaching methods using Korean folk tales, elements of cultural heritage, and authentic teaching materials, which contributes to the development of language skills of the students and a deeper understanding of Korean culture.
In addition, the internship program for teachers includes educational and methodological classes aimed at preparing for the international TOPIK exam in Korean, studying its requirements in detail, developing effective strategies for preparing students for testing, and improving the assessment system.
Overall, all events are aimed at developing Korean language teaching methods, expanding the professional capabilities of teachers, and improving the quality of language education within the framework of international educational cooperation, which creates a special practical and scientific-methodological significance of this program for participants.
At the same time, the program facilitates the exchange of valuable pedagogical experience, as well as the further development of scientific and educational interaction and friendly ties between universities in Central Asian countries.
