On June 2, Esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a working meeting by means of digital videoconferencing with the participation of the Cabinet Deputy Chairman supervising the agricultural sector and velayat khyakims.
The priority targets of socio-economic development of regions, the results of works carried out in five months of this year, as well as the current state of affairs on agricultural land plots and other issues were discussed.
Opening the working meeting, the leader of the nation emphasized that in the prosperous epoch of powerful state comprehensive measures for the development of agriculture are implemented in our country. All conditions for the cultivation of a generous harvest of agricultural crops are created in the state. Peasants is fully provided with high-quality seeds, mineral fertilizers, means for controlling plant pests and weeds, modern technology and irrigation water.
Along with this, the head of state continued, program work is carried out in order to create food abundance in the country. As a result of the hard work of grain growers, a rich harvest of wheat has been grown in the country's velayats this year. In connection with the approaching harvesting season, the main objective of our hardworking peasants is to arrange the wheat harvesting campaign as soon as possible.
Harvesting wheat without losses and providing food to the population are a guarantee of strengthening food abundance, Esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized, noting that he gives his blessing to the start of wheat harvesting campaign in Ahal, Lebap and Mary velayats on June 4. In Balkan and Dashoguz velayats, the grain harvest will begin on June 11. Following a good tradition, the honorary elders will bless the beginning of the harvesting campaign on the land plots with the words "Bissimilla!".
The head of state wished the diligent farmers and all rural workers sound health, prosperous and happy life, achievement of high victories, so that they, working with inspiration, receive a rich harvest from their native land.
Turning to the agenda of the meeting, Esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave the first floor to Akhal velayat khyakim Y.Gurbanov, who reported on the state of affairs in the region and the work carried out in five months of this year. Particular attention was paid to the ongoing preparation for the upcoming harvesting season, the beginning of which on the line of readiness - modern combine harvesters and other special equipment, grain receiving points. Also, proper care of cotton crops is carried out in accordance with agricultural standards.
Along with this, the khyakim reported on the steps taken to timely solve the targets outlined in the National Rural Program.
Having listened to the report, the head of state noted that in order to harvest the grown grain at the optimal time and without losses, it is necessary to draw up a specific plan for organizing the wheat harvesting campaign, determine the required number of combines and vehicles involved in the campaign.
As the leader of the nation emphasized, the most favorable conditions should be created for participants of the campaign both for highly productive work and for recreation. It is also necessary to keep under constant control the high level implementation of agro-technical measures for the care of cotton crops, the head of state said, having addressed a number of instructions to the khyakim in this regard.
Then the floor was given to Balkan velayat khyakim T. Atakhallyyev, who reported on the results of the work, which has been implemented since the beginning of the year. It was reported on the preparations to the wheat harvesting campaign, in particular, the measures taken to ensuring the smooth functioning of agricultural machinery and instruments, and harvest points to be used during the upcoming harvesting season.
Cotton crops are looked after in the fields in accordance with agro-technical standards.
Summing up the report, Esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed that wheat is an important component of the country's food abundance, and therefore it is necessary to carry out the harvesting campaign in the optimal agro-technical terms and with good results.
Among the main factors for the successful holding of wheat harvesting campaign, the head of state pointed out the necessity of early preparation of the harvesters, as well as other vehicles used in the fields, the organization of household and cultural services for peasants, ordering to monitor the activities of the relevant services in this vector.
Then, the leader of the nation called Dashoguz velayat khyakim N. Nazarmyradov to a working meeting via digital videoconferencing, who reported on the state of affairs in the region, the work carried out in January-May, and measures taken to organized holding of the upcoming wheat harvesting campaign.
The head of the regional administration reported on the seasonal agricultural activities carried out in accordance with the established norms on agricultural land.
Having heard the report, head of state Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov demanded to keep under strict control the preparation to the wheat harvesting campaign, the coordination of structures involved in it and the coherence of all links. In this regard, it was instructed to take measures to the rational and efficient use of combine harvesters and other agricultural machinery, as well as to provide field workers with everything necessary for productive work.
Noting the importance of comprehensive, timely and scientifically based agro-technical measures for the care of cotton crops, the Esteemed President addressed specific instructions to the velayat leadership.
The working meeting by means of digital videoconferencing continued with the report of Lebap velayat khyakim Sh.Amangeldiyev, who made a report on works carried out in five months of the current year, preparation of harvesters, vehicles and grain reception points, as well as other seasonal agricultural works, including the care of cotton crops.
It was also reported on the progress of the implementation of the National Rural Program initiated by the leader of the nation, within the framework of which large-scale transformations are realized in the region.
Having listened to the report, Esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the khyakim to keep organized wheat harvesting campaign, efficient and rational use of combines and other special machinery under unremitting control, and create proper conditions for productive work and cultural recreation of farmers.
The organization of this important agricultural campaign should take into account all the work on which a good harvest and, in general, the provision of food abundance in the country depends, the head of state said, giving in this regard specific instructions to the khyakim on ensuring appropriate activities.
Further, a report was made by Mary velayat khyakim D. Annaberdiev, who informed on the current state of affairs in the region, the work carried out since the beginning of the year within the framework of the National Rural Program, as well as on the progress of important agricultural activities, in particular, concern about cotton seedlings.
Primary attention is paid to the preparation for the upcoming responsible harvest campaign: harvesters and trucks are ready to enter the golden fields; collection points are fully prepared for the approaching harvest.
Pointing out the importance of unrelenting strict control over the progress of the campaign and ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the entire grain harvesting conveyor, the leader of the nation underlined the necessity of timely implementation of seasonal agro-technical measures in accordance with established standards.
The leader of the nation stressed the importance of a scientific approach to field work, giving commissions for the high level implementation of agro-technical measures for the care of cotton and other crops grown in the fields of the velayat.
Then, the floor was given to Cabinet Deputy Chairman E. Orazgeldiev, who reported on the state of affairs in the supervised sector, especially focusing on the measures taken to timely organize the upcoming wheat harvesting campaign and concern about cotton crops.
Summarizing the report, Esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the necessity of unremitting control over the preparation for important agricultural campaigns, during which a scientifically based approach should be applied, and advanced world technologies should be actively introduced into the agricultural sector in combination with the best domestic experience.
At the same time, the head of state expressed a number of complaints against the vice-premier and velayat khyakims, in the work of which serious shortcomings were revealed. In particular, the implementation of the objectives envisaged in the National Rural Program is carried out at a low rate in the localities, proper measures are not taken to implementation of the plans, creation of the most favorable conditions for the work and life of peasants, the President of Turkmenistan said, addressing specific instructions regarding the organization of work at the proper level.
Noting that there is an urgent and responsible period ahead for the peasants, the leader of the nation emphasized that the wheat grown by their hard and selfless work should be harvested promptly and without loss, giving appropriate orders in this regard.
Addressing the meeting participants, Esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on the importance of ensuring fire safety in the hot summer period, ordering to keep under strict control the observance of the relevant rules in villages, fields, as well as crowded places. It was also instructed to check the availability of appropriate equipment in structures and buildings, including fire extinguishers, reservoirs, and the necessary inventory.
Taking into account the significant increase in the use of air conditioners and refrigeration appliances, and as a result, the increase in energy consumption, the leader of the nation demanded to ensure energy savings in street lighting and advertising stands.
Concluding the working meeting by means of digital videoconferencing, Head of State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished all the participants sound health and great success in their activity aimed at ensuring a happy life for the people and further prosperity of the sovereign Homeland.
