Talks between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, who arrived in our country on official visit on the previous day, have been held in the capital on 28.06.2021.

In the morning, the motorcade of the head of friendly country accompanied by honorary motorcycle escort went to the Independence Square in the center of Ashgabat, where official reception ceremony of high-ranking guest took place.

The company commander of the Guard of Honor has made his report. National anthems of the Kyrgyz Republic and Turkmenistan were played. The leaders of two countries have walked along the line of warriors of the Guard of Honor and paid tribute to the State Flag of Turkmenistan.

In the end of the ceremony, the soldiers of the Guard of Honor have marched across the Independence Square. 

Further, the motorcade of the heads of the states followed by honorary horse-rider escort went to the Oguzkhan President Palace Complex.

After the official photographing ceremony on the background of the State Flags of two countries, Turkmen leader invite his Kyrgyz colleague to bilateral meeting hall, where high-level talks have been held in one-on-one format.

The sides have also exchanged the opinions on actual issues of regional and international agenda, which presents mutual interest.

Further, the talks have been continued in extended format with participation of members of official delegations of two states in Sultan Sanjar Hall. 

Turkmenistan strongly advocates that all problems in our region could be solved exclusively by peaceful methods based on the principles of good neighborliness, mutual respect, equal rights and taking into account the interests of each other relying on international law and UN Charter. For this purpose, assistance to work of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, support of the initiative on creation of actual preventive mechanisms of conflict situations, expansion of regional cooperation in format of political consultations are important objectives, the leader of the nation said.

Transport sphere has been mentioned among the priorities of cooperation. I think that efforts of our countries may and have to be aimed at the achievement of the main goal – to establish powerful and modern infrastructure, which would be able to provide the unification of transport systems of Asia, Europe and Middle East, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted.

It was said that Turkmenistan is willing to work together on transport corridor, which is to connect our countries with exit to the Caspian Sea. 

Having expressed the confidence that the first visit of President Sadyr Japarov to Turkmenistan would improve fraternal and friendly bilateral relations, would make such relations more specific and give new targets for further joint work, the head of the state has expressed deep gratitude to the head and members of official government delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic for efficient work, constructive moods and willingness to put all efforts for strengthening of friendship, goodwill and beneficial cooperation.

Further, the floor was given to the head of friendly country.

Taking the opportunity, the guest wished Turkmen side success under the chairing in the ECO and expressed confidence that joint efforts would provide further expansion of entire complex of bilateral relations as well as constructive cooperation under big international organizations and competent regional structures.

Having assured that the Kyrgyz Republic remains fully committed to the course aimed at intensification and expansion of bilateral relations with Turkmenistan from its side, the high-ranking guest expressed willingness to put maximum efforts for further strengthening and revealing of big potential for traditional partnership.

Bilateral document signing ceremony has taken place after Turkmen – Kyrgyz talks in extended format.

Further, the Memorandum of Understanding between Turkmen State Architectural and Construction Institute and I. Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University as well as Memorandum of Understanding between the Academy of Government Service under the President of Turkmenistan and the Academy of Government Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic have been exchanged.

Under applauses of the participants, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Sadyr Japarov have put their signatures under Joint Statement.

Further, the heads of two states addressed speeches to representatives of mass media.

Special attention during the talks have been paid to trade and economic cooperation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov continued, having stated with delight that the sides have come to common opinion on the necessity to intensify cooperation in this sphere according to big potential of both states. 

Having expressed deep satisfaction with results of the talks, which resulted in signing of significant number of bilateral documents, the head of the state expressed sincere gratitude to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and members of his delegation for big work that was done. The best wishes of peace, wealth and prosperity have been conveyed to the people of fraternal country.

Official lunch, at which the leaders of two countries have exchanged the speeches, has been given in honor of high-ranking guest in the official reception hall of Oguzkhan Presidential Palace Complex on behalf of the head of the state.

After the program of two-day official visit to our country, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic went to Ashgabat International Airport and left Turkmenistan.
