Today, as the entire world is struggling with polluting plastic, environmentally friendly alternatives to plastic bags are being offered in various countries. These are transparent polyester bags, a string bag revived by modern fashion designers, and bags made of corn starch that look exactly like plastic, but are completely environmentally friendly. Even from fallen leaves, which were previously considered garbage, a modern startup produces paper and paper bags for groceries, boxes for vegetables and fruits.

The creative ideas are implemented also by the Turkmen eco-warriors, as well as the young entrepreneurs. Thus, IE «Horjun», which produces the re-usable stylish and utility eco-bags, offers the excellent substitute of the plastic bag. Developing the proven national traditions in the new conditions, «Horjun» produces the various types of the qualitative and reliable eco-bags from the natural cotton. The fashion accessories are highly decorated with the Turkmen national ornaments, that complete the high quality of articles with the original esthetics. Other, affordable for mass consumer in terms of cost, series of bag serves as an ordinary substitution of the plastic bags. All raw materials used in the enterprise for the bags production meet the international standards and free from harmful for human health components.

«Horjun» - is a textile company, which provides new jobs for several dozens of young women and girls, who have got the required training, so that produced goods were of high quality and in demand in the local and foreign markets. The director of the enterprise Ayna Ovezova herself has learned a lot in the year since starting her business. Along with learning the ropes and solving many organizational, production and financial issues, the young entrepreneur studied international marketing and technical issues of exporting her products to other countries.

The company is ready to deliver abroad 10 - 50 thousand of fashion accessories of various models and already has experience in delivery of the first lot of goods to Russia, hoping to expand export geography over time. According to the director of «Horjun» Company, as they enter international export markets and increase their wholesale production capacity, they would like to maintain the high quality and availability of their products, the demand for which is driven by the global trend for the preservation of the environment.

Actively studying the world practice and standards of participation in the international trade, the administration of «Horjun» company took part in the Initiative on Export Management Coaching Initiative (EMCI) Ready4Trade and training on electronic commerce, which were launched in the beginning of 2021 in Turkmenistan. Within the framework of the business incubator “Handmade Export 2021”, supported by USAID Project on development of entrepreneurship and business environment, Ayna Ovezova looks forward to receiving online support for selling handmade products on global e-commerce platforms, including Etsy, eBay and AliExpress. She took part in the regional online seminar, held on 9 November, in order to enhance her knowledge of exporting handicrafts through digital channels.

Due to such trainings and online seminars the young entrepreneurs, in particular women, who are engaged in the production and export of the handicraft and decorative and applied products, learn a lot about the international legal and regulatory framework, generally accepted standards for the acceptance of goods, local documentation procedures required to prepare goods for export, and models such as consolidated shipping. They provide possibility to collect data on sales markets, expand your online visibility for B2B and B2C and make the exports competitive.
