President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a message to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who emphasized that this year Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

“Over the past decades, relying on the bonds of friendship, good neighborliness and mutual support, our fraternal states have built multifaceted relations that fully correspond to the level of strategic partnership. Opening a new milestone in the chronicle of interstate relations, we attach exceptional importance to bringing Kazakh-Turkmen cooperation to a qualitatively new level. A serious impetus could be the implementation of joint major projects in the field of energy, logistics, industry and agriculture,” the message of the Kazakh leader says.

Highlighting that during the state visit to Turkmenistan in October last year, specific agreements were reached on the implementation of promising projects in the gas industry, as well as the construction of a grain terminal on the Turkmen-Afghan border, the President of Kazakhstan noted that in order to qualitatively study the above projects, he sent a government delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by the First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar to Ashgabat.

Expressing the conviction that the successful implementation of these agreements will promote the development of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as confirm the high level of Kazakh-Turkmen relations at the present stage, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov great success in responsible state activities for the prosperity of the fraternal Turkmen people.
