The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted the final game of the intellectual competition “Young Heralds of the World” among high school students of the country's schools, organized by the university and the School of Young Diplomats as part of it. The strongest eight players, the winners of two semi-final games held at the Higher School of Diplomacy at the beginning of this month, performed at the final of the project. These are students of grades 10-11 of schools in the capital, as well as Mary and Balkan velayats - 5 boys and 3 girls. The decisive intellectual battle for the participants took place on the topic “The Doctrine of the Hero-Arkadag: Dialogue is a guarantee of peace”.

By tradition, the organizers of the project assisted in the preparation of schoolchildren for the competition, providing them with a list of materials corresponding to the subject and enough time to familiarize themselves with them in detail. On the eve of the game, thematic classes were also held for the finalists, which made it possible to significantly replenish their knowledge base with the necessary information. All preparatory activities contributed to the successful participation of the players and, at the same time, to the organization of a spectacular, intriguing and exciting final meeting.

The final game consisted of five rounds, the themes of which were subordinated to the general theme of the game and revealed it in detail. The first round was devoted to judgments, teachings, instructions on neutrality and good neighborliness contained in the book of the Hero-Arkadag “Music of Peace - Music of Friendship and Brotherhood”. The second round was addressed to the national model of the policy of permanent neutrality and world experience. The third round covered the pages of history and modern practice of preventive diplomacy. The fourth was held on the topic of the priorities of Turkmen diplomacy. The content of the fifth included questions on the topic of multilateral diplomacy of Turkmenistan and cooperation with international organizations.

The decisive game, involving the strongest players, each of whom was obsessed with the desire to prove his superiority, was quite tense, in a harsh spirit of rivalry. But precisely because of this atmosphere, the last battle was full of spectacular, impressive and unforgettable moments.

The team of the competent jury of the competition was presented by the Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, Hero of Turkmenistan Chynar Rustemova, Chief Researcher of the Institute of Language named after Magtymguly, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Doctor of Historical Sciences Yazgylych Orazgylyjov, Chief Director of the National Drama Theater named after Alp Arslan, Honored Art Worker of Turkmenistan Bilbil Mammedov.

Based on the results of the final, the jury made a decision, according to which the prize places among the players were distributed as follows:

The Grand Prix and the Challenge Cup of the “Young Heralds of the World” was rightfully won by Yagshymyrat Ovezov, an 11th grade student of the 87th specialized general education school in the capital with in-depth study of foreign languages.

The first place was awarded to Yhlas Hallyyev, a 10th grade student of the capital's Specialized Music Boarding School at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva.

The second place was taken by Shasenem Meylisova, a 11th grade student of a specialized school with in-depth study of English and the humanities in Mary, and Hojamyrat Baylyev, a 10th grade student of a specialized general education boarding school named after S.Turkmenbashy in Ashgabat.

In third place were four participants. These are Intizar Tagannyyazova (grade 11, specialized secondary school № 22 with in-depth study of English, physics and mathematics, Balkanabat), as well as students of the specialized general boarding school named after S.Turkmenbashy of Ashgabat city - Nurana Hudayberdiyeva (grade 10), Kadyrmyrat Ovezgylyjov (grade 11) and Kakageldi Akmyradov (grade 11).

At the end of the final, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners and prize-winners took place at the Higher School of Diplomacy, who were awarded diplomas of the corresponding degrees, medals and certificates of honor from the university-organizer of the project. Valuable gifts for young intellectuals were also prepared by the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly and a number of other sponsors of the event.

Filming and recording of the final game of the project was carried out by the Miras TV channel of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography and the IIR studio of the country's Foreign Ministry. Turkmen viewers will be able to watch the broadcast of the competition in the near future.

So, the grandiose project “Young Heralds of the World”, which lasted for almost a year, has come to an end. On the basis of a competitive selection within the framework of a career-oriented project spoke dozens of the best participants - high school students from all over the country who dream of a career as a diplomat.

We add that those who did not have time to participate in it should not be upset, because, as the organizers plan, the new season of the project will be launched in the upcoming academic year. Therefore, those wishing to join the ranks of the young heralds of peace have quite enough time at their disposal to properly prepare for participation in it and in the future to adequately demonstrate to the public their versatile knowledge, diplomatic talents and abilities.
