Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and velayat khyakims. The agenda included issues of developing the agro-industrial complex and the progress of work in the regions of the country.

The floor was first given to the Akhal Velayat Khyakim R. Hojagulyev, who reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

As was reported, wheat fields are treated in accordance with agro-technical standards. Along with this, the plowing, leveling and planning the lands for the future cotton harvest are in progress.

The necessary measures are taken to prepare agricultural machinery and equipment to be operated in the spring cotton sowing season and crop processing at cotton ginning enterprises, as well as to provide tenants with high-quality seeds.

Guided by the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan, the farmlands in the velayat are prepared for the spring sowing of potatoes and other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops.

The khyakim reported also on the work to maintain the proper operation of heating systems at residential houses, schools and kindergartens, as well as the trouble-free energy, gas and water supplies.

Having heard the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of conducting seasonal agricultural campaigns up to the mark, including the compliance with agro-technical standards when treating wheat fields and supplying cotton growers with high-quality seeds, instructing the khyakim to ensure control over work in areas allocated for cotton, and speed up the preparation of seed stock. Moreover, special attention must be paid to the spring sowing of vegetable, watermelon and melon crops.

Further, Balkan Velayat Khyakim H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural works.

As was reported, seasonal agricultural activities are well underway in the region in order to successfully carry out reforms in the agricultural sector and implement the objectives set by the head of state to strengthen food abundance.

Thus, the plowing of cotton fields had been completed. The lands are currently leveled and planned. Along with this, measures are taken to prepare agricultural machinery and equipment to be operated in the spring sowing season, as well as high-quality seeds for cotton growers.

Care for seedling continues in the wheat sown areas of the velayat.

Preparatory work is carried out at a high organizational level to conduct the spring sowing of potatoes and other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops.

Furthermore, the khyakim reported on the steps taken to maintain the proper operation of heating systems of social facilities, and trouble-free supply of electricity, natural gas and drinking water to the population.

Having heard the report, the head of state specified that high-quality completion of seasonal agricultural activities is one of the main conditions for gathering a bountiful harvest in the future. Emphasis was also placed on the need to comply with agro-technical standards when treating wheat fields. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the khyakim to keep under control the provision of cotton growers with high-quality seeds adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the region, as well as preparations for sowing potatoes and other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops.

The working meeting via digital system was continued with a report from Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim S. Soltanmyradov on the state of affairs in the region’s agriculture.

As was reported, these days the wheat fields are treated in accordance with agro-technical standards. Land plowing and leveling works are carried out in cotton sown areas in order to grow and gather a bountiful harvest.

Everything necessary is done to prepare the technical fleet for the sowing season, as well as high-quality cotton seeds adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the region.

In order to achieve the objectives set for growing a bountiful harvest of potatoes and other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops, preparations are underway for the spring sowing season.

In view of the ongoing winter season, necessary measures are taken to maintain the trouble-free supply of residential houses and social facilities with heat, electricity, natural gas and drinking water.

Further, Mary Velayat Khyakim B. Orazov reported on the state of affairs in the agricultural fields of the region.

The head of state gave a number of instructions to the khyakim, including on the strict compliance with agro-technical standards when treating wheat fields, increasing the pace of land treatment for sowing cotton and preparing high-quality seeds according to the soil and climatic conditions of the region, ensuring the gathering of sugar beets, as well as conducting vegetable, watermelon and melon crops sowing up to the mark.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who supervises the agro-industrial complex, reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the country.

As was reported, care for wheat crops continues in the fields of the velayats in accordance with agro-technical standards.

The lands are plowed, leveled and planned for this year’s cotton crop. Seed material is processed at cotton ginning enterprises to provide cotton growers with high-quality seeds in the spring season, and stored in accordance with established requirements.

Along with this, the necessary measures are taken to prepare agricultural machinery and equipment for the spring sowing campaign. Work is also in progress out to prepare areas for sowing potatoes and other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops.

Summing up the report, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of further development of the agro-industrial complex, which has an essential role to play in the national economy, and strengthening food abundance in the country by growing bountiful crops and successfully achieving objectives assigned. Addressing the velayat khyakims, the head of state specified that preparation for the upcoming sowing campaign is one of the basic conditions for the organized completion of this important season. In this regard, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to ensure the preparation of areas for cotton and high-quality seeds adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the regions, and the proper operation of agricultural machinery and equipment.

Moreover, the President of the country instructed also to maintain the trouble-free operation of heating systems at social facilities, the supply of electricity, natural gas and drinking water to the population of the velayats.
