Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and the velayat khyakims, during which the progress of agricultural work in the regions of the country was reviewed.
The floor was first given to Akhal Velayat Khyakim R. Hojagulyev, who reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.
As was reported, at present, the wheat fields of the velayat are treated in accordance with the agro-technical requirements, and land plowing, leveling and marking are carried out in the areas allocated for cotton.
Along with this, measures are taken to prepare agricultural machinery and equipment to be operated in the spring sowing of cotton, as well as high-quality seeds for cotton growers, fields and planting stock for sowing potatoes and other crops.
In addition, specific steps are taken to effectively and savingly use water, improve the land reclamation condition, and clean irrigation and collector-drainage systems and surroundings of areas under crops.
The governor of the region informed about the work for the proper operation of heating systems at residential buildings, schools and kindergartens, as well as the trouble-free energy, gas and water supplies.
Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of conducting seasonal agricultural campaigns at the proper level, complying with agro-technical standards when treating fields sown to wheat and allocated for cotton, instructing the khyakim to ensure proper preparation for the spring sowing campaign.
Then Balkan Velayat Khyakim H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the progress of agricultural work in the region.
As was reported, work is currently ongoing in terms of land leveling and planning for the cotton sowing, preparation of agricultural machinery and equipment to be operated in the spring season, as well as high-quality seeds adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the region.

Along with this, work is in progress to prepare fields and planting stock, as well as equipment for the spring sowing of potatoes, vegetable, watermelon and melon crops.

As was reported, measures are taken for the organized cotton sowing, including land plowing, planning and application of mineral fertilizers, vegetative irrigation, repair of agricultural machinery and equipment. Cotton growers are provided with high-quality seeds without delays.
