Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and velayat khyakims to consider the progress of seasonal field work in the country.

The first floor was given to Akhal velayat khyakim R.Hojagulyev, who reported on the pace of agricultural campaigns in the region.

As noted, at present, thinning, weeding, feeding with mineral fertilizers and vegetative watering of plants are carried out in fields sown with cotton in accordance with agro-technical requirements. At the same time, everything necessary is done for the effective use of agricultural machinery and units.

At the same time, preparations are underway in the velayat for an organized grain harvest season.

On the agricultural lands of the region, work is carried out to care for and harvest the grown crop of potatoes and other vegetable and cucurbits crops.

In addition, it was informed about the successful fulfillment by the silkworm tenants of the velayat of their planned obligations to deliver cocoons.

Along with this, it was reported on the measures taken for the proper organization of summer holidays for children, preparations for cultural events dedicated to International Children’s Day and World Bicycle Day, as well as on the progress of construction of social and industrial facilities within the framework of the National Rural Program, commissioning whose operation is planned for the current year.

After hearing the report, the head of state emphasized the importance of seasonal agricultural work being carried out these days, assigning the khyakim to ensure care of the cotton fields in accordance with agro-technical requirements and to keep preparations for the grain harvest season at the proper level under strict control.

Instructions were also given regarding the quality of construction of facilities for various purposes within the framework of the National Rural Program, which are scheduled to open this year.

Then the khyakim of Balkan velayat H.Ashyrmyradov reported on the state of affairs in the region.

As noted, cotton care continues these days. Particular attention is paid to the efficient functioning of agricultural machinery and units.

Currently, preparations are underway for the organizational holding of the grain harvest campaign.

At the same time, in accordance with the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to strengthen food abundance in the country, various agro-technical measures are being carried out on areas sown with potatoes and other vegetable and cucurbits crops.

The necessary steps are also being taken to successfully implement the plan for the delivery of silkworm cocoons in the velayat.

In addition, it was reported on the carried out work on organizing summer holidays for children, preparations for events dedicated to International Children’s Day and World Bicycle Day, as well as on the progress of construction of social and industrial facilities within the framework of the Program for Socio-Economic Development of the country in 2022–2028, commissioning of which is scheduled for the current year.

Summarizing the report, the head of state ordered to ensure organized and timely care of the cotton plant in accordance with agricultural technology standards, as well as control over the preparation and conduct of the grain harvest season at the proper level.

At the same time, the President of Turkmenistan gave instructions to keep under review compliance with the timing and quality of construction of facilities for various purposes within the framework of the country’s socio-economic development program, the opening of which is scheduled for this year.

Then the working meeting continued with a report from the khyakim of Dashoguz velayat S.Soltanmyradov on the progress of seasonal agricultural work.

It was reported that at present, in the fields sown with cotton, inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding are carried out in accordance with agricultural technology standards. Everything necessary has been done to use agricultural machinery and equipment in this work at full capacity.

As the head of the regional administration noted, appropriate preparatory measures have been taken to organize the grain harvest campaign and harvest the grain without loss.

In order to fulfill the tasks set by the head of state to increase the volume of potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops grown in the country, plants are maintained and watered in the fields of the velayat.

At the same time, tenant silkworm breeders began handing over harvested cocoons to the state.

Continuing, the khyakim of the northern region reported on preparations for the summer holiday season for children, International Children’s Day and World Bicycle Day, including relevant cultural events, as well as on the progress of construction work on social and industrial facilities built within the framework of the Program for Socio-Economic Development of the country in 2022–2028 and the National Rural Program, which are scheduled for commissioning this year.
