Today, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, who is on a working visit to Astana, took part in the official opening ceremony of the V World Nomad Games.
After the meeting of the Hero-Arkadag with the head of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the motorcade of the National Leader of the Turkmen people headed to the Astana Arena stadium, where the official opening ceremony of the V World Nomad Games took place, which this year is held under the motto «Meeting in the Great Steppe».
The main feature of this unique project is the trinity of sports, cultural and scientific programs, the interrelation of which allows for a comprehensive study and global promotion of national ethnic sports and, in general, nomadic culture.
The official logo of the current largest sports event includes an important element of identity - a solar rider, which is an integral attribute in all logos of the World Nomad Games. It uses elements of dark red colour, personifying the simplicity and elegance of the semi-precious stone - carnelian, which is known to be associated with vital energy, the heart and the sun. This stone is widely used in traditional jewelry and household items among the Turkmen and the peoples of Central Asia. The text part of the logo is made in a font stylized as the runic Turkic script of the 8th-10th centuries. The main symbol and key element of the first three Nomad Games, which Kyrgyzstan hosted, was water. This tradition is continued at the current Games in Kazakhstan.
