Turkmenistan will host a comprehensive Olympiad among the country's schoolchildren on the occasion of the International Day of Education, proclaimed by the UN General Assembly to commemorate the role of education for universal peace and development.
The organizers of the Olympiad, called “Watanyen daýanjy-bilimli ataşlar, Arkadagly Gahryman Serdaryan guwanjy ataşlar!”, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan speaks jointly with the Central Council of the Makhtumkuli Youth Organization of Turkmenistan.
Students of grades 12 of secondary schools are invited to participate in the Olympiad. Ashgabat, Arkadag and all the velayats of the country. The Olympiad will be held in two stages in four subjects: history, mathematics, Turkmen language, English. The first stage of the competition will be held on March 31, 2025 at the following educational institutions:
At the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan – for students from the capital, the city of Arkadag and the Akhal Velayat;
In the Balkanabat oil secondary vocational school – for schoolchildren of the Balkan Velayat;
At the Turkmen Agricultural Institute – for participants from Dashoguz Velayat;
In the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after S.Seidi – for high school students from Lebap velayat;
At the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan – for pupils of schools of Mary Velayat.
Students who have successfully completed the first stage will receive a special login/key to their email addresses to participate in the second stage.
This stage of the Olympiad will be held online on April 14, 2025. It will be conducted in a testing format and will gather participants on the basis of the above -mentioned educational institutions.
The winners of the Olympiad, who won the first, second and third places, will be awarded with certificates of honor from the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country and gifts from the Central the Board of the Makhtumkuli Youth Organization of Turkmenistan. In addition, incentive prizes will be awarded to participants who have distinguished themselves in the competition.
The award ceremony for the winners of the Olympiad will be held at the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Turkmenistan on April 30, 2025, on the university's Open Day.
Students wishing to participate in the intellectual competition must fill out the participant's form by March 20, 2025 and send it to the organizing committee by e-mail: hgi.charetm@gmail.com. A sample of the form is posted on the website of the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Confirmation of registration will be sent to the participants' email addresses by March 28, indicating the time of the contest.
