Representatives of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the International University for the Humanities and Development, the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, and Coventry University of the United Kingdom held an online meeting. The event was also attended by Stephen Conlon, British Ambassador to Turkmenistan.
The central focus of the meeting was a review of existing educational partnerships between Turkmenistan and the United Kingdom.
During the discussions, potential areas for expanding cooperation were explored, with particular attention given to the development of student exchanges, joint research initiatives and educational programs.
As part of the meeting, Mr. Christopher Tagg, Coventry University's Associate Director for Business Development, provided a detailed presentation on the university's international engagement strategy. He shared success stories of existing partnerships and proposed innovative ways to strengthen bilateral ties with Turkmen educational institutions.
Participants mutually emphasized the importance of further strengthening academic and cultural ties between Turkmenistan and the United Kingdom, highlighting the solid foundation of cooperation already established between the two countries in education.
The meeting proved to be a productive dialogue, reaffirming both sides' commitment to advancing shared goals in education and launching new joint initiatives aimed at enriching academic experiences, enhancing cultural understanding, and fostering innovation in higher education.
