On April 23, the Turkmen Agricultural Institute hosted an international scientific-practical online conference on the topic “Rational Use of Natural Resources in Agriculture.”
The international forum brought together representatives from 56 higher educational institutions and research centers—prominent scientists, professors, young researchers, and specialists, as well as relevant experts from Turkmenistan, Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Ethiopia, Pakistan, and other countries.
The main goal of the forum was to exchange scientific knowledge, advanced experience, and practical developments in the field of effective use of land, water, and other natural resources in agriculture.
At the opening plenary session of the conference, the Rector of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute, D. Yolov, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.
During the forum, the high importance of such events was emphasized, as they are aimed at consolidating joint efforts to achieve sustainable development and environmental security on a global scale. It was noted that, in the International Year of Peace and Trust, international meetings acquire special significance in strengthening friendship and cooperation, as well as in building and developing peaceful and constructive dialogue between countries.
As the conference continued, representatives from Turkmenistan and foreign countries delivered interesting and substantive scientific reports dedicated to the principles, mechanisms, directions, and other issues related to the rational use of natural resources in the sustainable development of the agricultural sector.
The international scientific-practical conference included three sections: “Ecological Approaches to Agriculture,” “Rational Use of Water Resources,” and “Effective Use of Land Resources.” In total, about 160 reports were presented, with the most outstanding ones recognized at the final session of the conference.
Holding the forum at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute—one of the country’s leading agricultural universities and research centers—provided participants with the opportunity to jointly discuss current thematic issues, share professional opinions, and significantly contributed to enriching valuable experience for the further scientific development of agriculture, as well as strengthening and expanding international scientific and educational cooperation.
In addition, the online format of the event ensured broad geographic participation, which allowed for active, substantive, and productive dialogue between Turkmen and foreign specialists at the forum.
