New Year concerts and entertainment shows to be held in Ashgabat

Only a few days remain until the New Year. A wide range of festive events is being organized at cultural venues across the country, including theatrical performances, musical concerts, comedy shows, exhibitions, and fairs. This overview presents information about upcoming events and places to visit.

On December 27, 28, and 29 at 18:00, concerts by international performers will take place at the Winter Sports Complex. Residents of Ashgabat and guests of the capital will be able to enjoy performances by the Iranian-Swedish artist Arash, the Russian singer and musician Mot (Matvey Melnikov), and the Turkish pop performer Semicenk.

On December 30 at 18:00, the festive week will conclude with a concert by Turkmen pop artists.

On December 28 at 19:00, a concert by the State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Resul Gylyjov will be held at the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. The program will feature masterpieces of world classical music, creating a New Year’s atmosphere and offering true enjoyment of instrumental sound.

On December 29 at 19:00, the concert “Christmas Hits” will take place at the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater. The string orchestra led by Tahir Atayev will perform well-known melodies from popular New Year films.

The capital’s theaters also invite residents and guests to add special charm to their New Year celebrations.
