On January 23, 2026, a conference dedicated to the 2026 motto «Independent neutral Turkmenistan − the homeland of purposeful winged horses» and the presentation of the book by the esteemed President of Turkmenistan, «Neutrality of Turkmenistan – a bright way of peace and trust» took place at the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan). The event was attended by staff members of the Consulate, the head of the Branch of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World in the Russian Federation for the Astrakhan Region, a teacher of the Turkmen language from the Magtymguly Fragi Secondary School in the Astrakhan Region, as well as students from Turkmenistan studying in Astrakhan Region.

The event was organized with the aim of widely promoting the significance of the symbol of the current year. Participants of the conference emphasized that 2026 coincides with the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence, and that the motto chosen for this year embodies the national treasure – the Akhal-Teke horses.

In their speeches, the participants highlighted the continued glorification of Turkmenistan’s independence and sovereignty, the high achievements attained during the years of independence, the successes in ensuring a happy life for the people, the impressive rise of the steadily developing Motherland confidently advancing toward new heights of progress, as well as the great victories achieved in all spheres.

It was also proudly noted that the new book of the esteemed President comprehensively reveals the value of permanent neutrality and will serve as a scientific and literary guide for the younger generation, including future specialists in international relations. The speakers emphasized that the new book of the Head of State consists of nine chapters, which cover key stages in the formation of neutrality and highlight the importance of the country’s neutral legal status, recognized three times by relevant resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly, in ensuring peace, security, and sustainable development worldwide.
