Dashoguz velayat is preparing to host a large-scale creative forum. In March of this year, the region will hold a festival with the poetic title “Dünýäde ýaňlanýar ajap dessanym, toý tutýar Garaşsyz Türkmenistanym.”

Preparations for the event were discussed at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting held via the digital system, during which Vice-Premier B. Seyidova presented the program of the upcoming festival to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The cultural event will bring together custodians of the national musical heritage from across the country. Participants will include master dessanchy (folk storytellers) and bagshy, professional musicians, as well as teachers and students of specialized educational institutions.

The creative initiative promises to be rich in content and will go beyond a simple celebration of music. The program will feature master classes by renowned maestros for young musicians; a conference titled “Dessançy bagşylar joşa gelende,” dedicated to the art of dessan performance; a creative meeting honoring the memory of prominent performers whose lives and artistry are described in the book by Hero-Arkadag “Bagshy – Heralds of the People’s Happiness”; and the concert “Bagşy dessan aýdanda.”

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that such forums play a key role in preserving the spiritual heritage of the nation and instructed that a high organizational standard be ensured for all planned events.
