The Film “Mähir terbiýesi” by Turkmen Filmmakers Receives a Special Prize at an International Film Festival in Türkiye

There is hardly any need to emphasize the importance of the topic of spiritual upbringing for the younger generation. Not long ago, the creative team of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography enthusiastically turned to this pressing moral and ethical subject with the support of UNICEF. The result was the short film “Mähir terbiýesi” (“Spiritual Upbringing”).

The main objective and idea of the film was to use acting and cinematic expression to demonstrate the importance of nurturing spiritual unity between the older generation and children, as well as between mothers and teenagers. After all, it is within the family that the foundations are laid for everything that later shapes a person’s spiritual guidelines and moral values.

It is encouraging to note that the new film has found enthusiastic supporters and admirers not only in Turkmenistan but also abroad. Recently, confirmation of this came from Türkiye, where news arrived that “Mähir terbiýesi” had won the special “Gyzyl alma” (“Golden Apple”) prize as one of the best short films at the International Turan Film Festival. The award is especially significant because it was received in a competition that featured around two thousand films from 90 countries around the world.

For cinema enthusiasts, it should also be added that the film can be viewed by sending a request using code 423 to the short number 0530.
