This November, the capital of Turkmenistan and the «smart» city of Arkadag will become centres of international theatre life. Deputy prime B. Seyidova reported on the progress of preparations for the V International theatre festival «Theatre art of the happy epoch» at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Leading theatre companies from around the world will arrive in Turkmenistan to participate in the creative forum.

The program of the event will not be limited to stage performances. Thus, a working meeting of theatre directors and stage managers is planned. Participants will discuss current issues related to improving theatrical arts, exchanging experiences, and expanding international humanitarian cooperation.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised that the state pays special attention to the development of national performing arts and strengthening cultural ties with foreign partners. The head of Turkmenistan instructed the deputy-prime to ensure a high level of organisation and content for the upcoming festival.
