At the National Music and Drama Theatre named after Magtymguly hosted a concert dedicated to International Women's Day with a full house. On the stage of the theatre - the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan under the direction of Resul Gylyjov. The musicians of the orchestra opened the program of the festive concert with Andrey Petrov's overture to the film «Ukrosheniye ognya» («Taming the Fire»).

With this exciting, impetuous music filled with vivid emotions, a musical holiday dedicated to the beautiful half of humanity began. The concert program included soundtracks from the films «Mary Poppins, do svidaniya!» («Mary Poppins, goodbye!») Maxim Dunayevskiy, Andrey Petrov's «A ya idu, shagayu po Moskwe» («I'm Walking, Walking Through Moscow»), Yevgeniy Dog's «Moy laskovyy nejnyy zver» («My Sweet and Gentle Beast») and others. To express their special attitude towards women, the musicians often turned to gentle and exciting waltz melodies.  I would especially like to mention «Waltz» by Valentin Levashov from the film «Lyubov i golubi» («Love and Doves»), which flew around almost all countries, finding a response in the hearts of listeners there too.

Soloists Maysa Nyyazova, Nury Nuryyev, Dovran Shammyyev, Mansur Sharipov and Dunyagozel Begaliyeva brightened the atmosphere of the evening with their vocals. Many of their performances were dedicated to mothers - the dearest and most beloved women in the world. For the listeners, this touching declaration of love evoked a sense of belonging to every word coming from the stage.

The audience accepted with a bang the song of Andrey Babayev «Ya vstretil devushku»(«I met a girl»), which was performed by Nury Nuryyev. This hit of the 50s of the last century has recently gained a new round of popularity, delighting all generations of listeners with its sincerity.

The concert ended with the orchestra's performance of the original work «Magiya melodii» («The Magic of Melody») by Rondo Veneziano, an Italian chamber group of musicians specializing in baroque music and dressing in the baroque style.

Saying goodbye to the audience, Resul Gylyjov said: «This concert is dedicated, first of all, to our mothers, who, while warming us with the warmth of their hearts, make it easy and joyful for us to live in the world».
