The Turkmen National Conservatory named after Mai Kulieva hosted a reporting concert, which is the main one of the many other concerts held at this educational institution. It gives students and instructors the opportunity to present their achievements of the past academic year to the audience.

Traditionally, the concert was opened by the dutar, a folk Turkmen instrument. First-year student Akhmet Shadurdyev, the winner of the "Stars of the Conservatory – 2023" contest, performed the Turkmen folk melody "Sataşdym". Let us immediately make a reservation, the program of the reporting concert included most of the performances of the laureates of this competition.

European classics were performed along with Turkmen folk melodies and works by modern Turkmen composers. A great success was the performance of sophomore Khizhran Jorakulyev, who excellently performed Alfred Schnittke's Polka on the accordion for the play "The Inspector’s Tale".

The audience will remember for a long time the brilliant performance of Franz Liszt's Paganini Etudes by the second-year pianist Chariyar Ataberdyev.

Third-year student Dunyagozel Begalieva received a long applause from the audience for her vocal performance of Nury Halmamedov's song "Ashgabat". The melody, performed by concertmaster Vladimir Mkrtumov, sounded like a rushing stream, in which Dunyagozel's voice was perceived as a sunny glare.

That evening, students performed works by Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Liszt, Hovhannesian, Puccini, Handel, and Chopin.

It is noteworthy that dutar, gijak, gargy tuyduk, canon, violin, cello, flute, accordion, trombone, and piano sounded during the performance of musical works. And the performers were students from the first to the fifth year.

The concert ended with a performance by the Bakhshi ensemble led by Merdan Bayramov, an Honored Bakhshi of Turkmenistan.
