The Pushkin State Russian Drama Theater premiered with great success the comedy play "Family Secret" based on the play by Izzat Sultanov.
The Uzbek playwright raised the topic of the relationship between the daughter-in-law and mother-in-law, problematic at all times and among all peoples. Well, if the daughter-in-law is not timid, as in our case, then misunderstandings with her mother-in-law reach a critical point. In order to restore peace and harmony in the family, the men in the play "Family Secret" came up with a trick that reconciled both sides.
If we remove the elements of the grotesque from the play, many women sitting in the hall recognized themselves in the warring heroines. It was clear to all viewers that the playwright Izzat Sultanov’s exaggerations were just conventions for aggravating the comicality of what was happening.
The young production director Bayram Garajaev managed to stage the play "Family Secret" in a record short time of three weeks, and the result was excellent. The creative excitement of the director was promoted by the fighting spirit of the actors. The task of the group was not only to convey to the viewer the protection of family values, but also to transmit the national flavor of the Uzbek people. This was especially true for the three female roles. The exalted daughter-in-law is played by Anna Hommadova. The role of a wayward mother-in-law, for whom the main thing is that her word is the last, is brilliantly performed by Alina Andronova. The role of the daughter is played by Maria Durdyeva, she does not notice anything around because of dreams of her fiancé and the upcoming wedding.
At first glance, men of the family (artists Vyacheslav Lavin, Rasul Nurymov, Merdan Nurmukhamedov) also adheres to neutrality for the time being. But this is only an appearance, in fact, they have a plan for an unusual reconciliation of women in the house
The performance of extras was an enchanting touch that added Eastern flavor, fun, and festivity to the performance. The mass scenes greatly embellished the performance due to choreography by Adela Nazarova and music by Begench Kakaev and Denis Vybornov.
The touched audience accepted the play about strengthening family bonds with an understanding of the rational grain it left behind.
- Were these actors invited from Tashkent? - As they were leaving the hall, one of the spectators asked.
- Oh no! They are the actors of the Pushkin Theater who have reincarnated like this," the answer was heard from all sides.
This dialogue best defines acting skills in the transmission of the Uzbek mentality.
This is the fourth play in director Bayram Garajayev's career. The first three tales "Aladdin", "Super Bunny" and "Grinch" are designed for children. The play "Family Secret" is the director's first work for an adult audience. But no matter what topic is raised in the productions of Bayram Garajayev, they will all be a great success.
