Another film group headed by director Hekim Alovov, engaged in the project of the "Turkmenfilm" Association named after Oguzkhan to shoot documentaries about Magtymguly Pyragy, is preparing for a trip to the Republic of Turkey. From September 17 to 24, Turkmen cinematographers will visit Ankara, Istanbul and Konya, where there are many places associated with the name of the Turkmen poet, humanist and thinker.

Thus, in the Turkish capital in 2012, a monument to Magtymguly was opened in the park "Turkmenistan", where flower-laying ceremonies are held on anniversary and festive dates. The headquarters of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) is located in Ankara, which takes an active part in events dedicated to the upcoming 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy. As is known, at the meeting of the Permanent Council of the International Organization of Turkic Culture held last autumn, its participants unanimously supported the proposal to declare 2024 "The Year of the great poet and thinker of the Turkic world – Magtymguly Pyragy" in honor of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy. The "Turkmenfilm" film crew plans to meet with representatives of TURKSOY, as well as with scientists who study the work of the brilliant master of the artistic word Magtymguly Pyragy.

The handwritten works of the Turkmen poet-philosopher are kept in Istanbul, copies of which were added to the collection of manuscripts of Magtymguly Pyragy, included in the UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register in May this year. There are many experts and connoisseurs of the Turkmen classic's work in the city who can inform the "Turkmenfilm" film group about new publications and materials that shed light on the biography of the poet, his contemporaries and followers. For instance, Istanbul Fatih University hosted scientific conferences in honor of Magtymguly Pyragy and the presentation of his works published in Turkish.

Konya region, which was once ruled by the ancestors of the Seljuk Turkmens, is known as the center of Sufism, which had a noticeable influence on the work of Magtymguly. The famous poet and mathematician Omar Khayyam lived here during the Seljuk period. In the XIII century, Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi lived and was buried here. Undoubtedly, in this ancient city with a rich cultural and religious history there are locations associated with the name of the great Magtymguly.
