Concert dedicated to the International Music Day was held

For the 20th time, the Chamber Ensemble Department of the M. Kulieva Turkmen National Conservatory gives a concert in honor of the International Music Day, approved by UNESCO to celebrate on October 1 every year. During this time, the conservatory has formed good traditions to open the concert with a dutar, and finish it with a work by a Turkmen composer.

This year, the Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Osman Gujimov had the advantage to be the first to perform in the concert program. He performed the Turkmen folk melody "Hajigulak".

A notable feature of this concert was the performance of three young musicians delegated to the Delphic Games to be held in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) from October 6 to 10. Teams of musicians from the CIS will take part in them. Team scores will be considered in the competition. Musicians from our country are participating in the Delphic Games for the first time, and this places a special responsibility on Ainur Otuzova (piano), a student of the 11th grade of the Special Music Boarding School at the TNC, and students of the Conservatory Erjel Yakshimuradov (piano), Seyran Ataniyazov (violin). Their performance in the concert program gave them the opportunity to play in public the works that they will perform at the Delphic Games, and the audience, in turn, to get acquainted with the performers who will represent our country at the foreign creative competition.

Judging by the applause, the delegated contestants made a pleasant impression on the audience.

The concert was attended by Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Vladimir Mkrtumov, diploma winner of international competitions Stella Faramazova, laureates of the "Türkmeniń Altyn asyry " Award Begench Moshshiev, Bahar Durdyeva and others. They performed Turkmen and European works.

Maya Gullaeva won the audience with her artistry by performing Sergei Prokofiev's "Katerina" – a work that the composer stylized from classical into a Russian folk song.

The duo of violinists, Seyran Atayazov and Jemal Agajanova, performed with great success. They performed Igor Frolov's "Divertimento", in which classical music competed with jazz. Once again, Begench Moshshiev charmed the audience with the Russian folk song "Kalinka".

The concert ended with the piece of Chary Nurymov "Toý aýdymy" ("Festive Song"), performed by Begench Moshshiev, Bahar Durdyeva and Maya Gullaeva. The concert dedicated to the International Music Day has come to an end. "Thank you, music, to you" – this line from the poem that Maya Gullaeva recited to the audience at the beginning of the evening, surfaced in the hearts of grateful listeners.
