In the Great Hall of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after. M. Kulieva held a concert entitled “And the music sounds...”, which became a logical continuation of the dedication International Music Day.
The organizer of the concert, the vocal department of the conservatory, managed prepare a concert program taking into account the tastes of every listener that gathered in the hall. This evening they sounded works of Turkmen composers: folk song “Yylgaylar”, “Heart of a Poet” and “Ashgabat” by Nury Halmamedov, “Blossom the Motherland” by Nura Mukhatov. It became unforgettable performance by vocalist Begench Gayipov.
Impeccably performed two works - “Melody” and “Prelude” - Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Vladimir Mkrtumov. As if the trill of a nightingale sounded the wondrous voice of Dunyagozel Begalieva in "It's Good Here".
The stage also featured works by Antonin Dvorak, Modest Mussorsky, Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Performance by Lachin Khudayberdyeva on Russian folk dutar the song “Oh, my canopy, my canopy...” added fun and was perceived as a rivalry between two folk instruments: dutar and balalaika.
For lovers of foreign contemporary music there was a section reserved second half of the concert. It started out romantic the magic carpet ride that spectators took in accompanied by Dovran Shammyev and Tazegul Bayramova, performing Alan Mankens' song from the movie Aladdin. Following were the favorite hits, which were mostly represented by the musical groups “Ragtime” and “Camerata-Ashgabat". I especially remember the brilliant performance of “Tango” Charles Orlan by the Camerata-Ashgabat musicians.
We closed with the song “Time to say good bay” by Francesco Sartori concert program People's Artist of Turkmenistan Atajan Berdyev and all concert participants. The concertmasters of the evening were Ekaterina Darchia, Vladimir Mkrtumov, Elena Arakelyan, Evgeniy Tselyutin and Myakhri Orazova.
A pleasant surprise was the presentation of greeting cards from international music day to all participants of the concert programs.
