The play "Magtymguly Pyragy", presented by the team of the National Drama Theater named after Alp Arslan at the site of the I International Theater Festival "Biken", received a worthy assessment by the professional jury and was awarded in several nominations.

Thus, the artistic director of the theater, Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Khandurdy Berdiyev was awarded a diploma for the best director of a dramatic production and a gold medal of the festival, held under the auspices of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the actress of theater and cinema Biken Rimova.

Production designer Mekan Annamuradov was awarded a commemorative Cup for the best set design for the play. In addition, the staff of the National Drama Theater named after Alp Arslan was awarded a diploma of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), a letter of thanks from the Akimat of Taldykorgan region and a prize certificate for 400 thousand Kazakhstani Tenge.

The colorful production of the Turkmen theater collective tells about the life and work of the great poet and thinker Magtymguly Pyragy. The image of the founder of the Turkmen classical poetry was brilliantly embodied on the stage by the Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Dovlet Khanmammedov. In the performance, one can hear the imperishable poems of the poet and his wise sayings.

The first International Theater Festival "Biken", which took place in the Kazakh city of Taldykorgan from September 29 to October 4, was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akimat of Zhetysu region and the International Organization TURKSOY.

Representatives of the theatrical community from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan presented their best theatrical productions on a single stage platform. The festival also included a conference dedicated to the work of Biken Rimova and her contribution to stage art.
