Gala concert dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi, took place in one of the most famous music halls in Vienna – Ehrbar Saal.

Accompanied by a youth orchestra led by Rasul Klychev, outstanding figures performed on the foreign stage culture of Turkmenistan.

The program featured compositions by Nury Halmamedov, Chary Nurymov, Khydyr Allanurov and other Turkmen composers. The vocalists delighted the audience with songs on poems by the great classic of Turkmen literature.

The highlight of the concert was folk music. Performed by Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Garyagdy Saryev, Bakhshi’s songs introduced foreign audiences to the sound of dutar and gyjak. Heartfelt melodies don't bother anyone left indifferent, causing great interest in culture and national heritage of the Turkmen people.

The final composition was the invitation song “Gel Turkmenistana! (“Come to Turkmenistan!”), voiced in performed by People's Artist of Turkmenistan Atajan Berdyev and Honored Artist of the country Leyla Okdirova.

Gala concert of Turkmen stage masters held in Vienna became a clear confirmation of the successfully developing cooperation and dialogue between two cultures.

Just recently, in the new modern city of Arkadag, the fanfare V Vienna Ball. Were here performances by famous Austrian artists were organized, musicians and the Turkmen-Austrian Symphony Orchestra "Galkynyş".

Currently, our country is actively preparing to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great philosopher and poet Magtymguly.

A big event this year was the inclusion of the collection manuscripts of Magtymguly Fragi in the International List Programs “Memory of the World” UNESCO.

In addition, the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) declared 2024 “The Year of the Great Poet and thinker of the Turkic world Magtymguly Fragi.”

A universally recognized poet of his people, Magtymguly contributed significant contribution to the treasury of world literature. His work remains a subject of study for readers and scientists from different countries.
