Within the framework of the "Mukama siñen ömür" festival, which opened in Turkmenistan, a concert of youth creative collectives was held on the stage of the Aman Gulmammedov State Drama Theater in Arkadag city.
The choir, soloists and orchestra of Turkmen Folk Instruments of the D. Ovezov Turkmen State Special Music School at the M. Kulieva TNC performed famous works by Nury Halmamedov, written by him for the national cinema. The nostalgic mood of the memorable concert was given by songs based on the poems of Kurbannazar Ezizov, as well as compositions previously performed by the masters of Turkmen pop music.
– We tried very hard to give the concert guests our own reading of the well–known and revered works of Nury Halmamedov, - says the Artistic Director and Conductor of Orchestra of the Turkmen Folk Instruments Gadam Jumagulyev. – Unlike the symphony orchestra, our orchestra is focused on the national sound, where folk instruments prevail: dutar, tuyduk, gyjak and others.
Young vocalists, who are equal to representatives of the traditional school of performing skills, nevertheless, tried to bring their own sound to the song tunes. Vepa Allashov, a student of the D. Ovezov Turkmen State Special Music School, performed the songs "Iki agaç", "Türkmen Sährasy". Famous compositions were and remain the hallmark of the People's Artist of Turkmenistan Atageldy Garyagdiyev.
The audience was greatly impressed by the young soloist Bekdurdy Cherkezov, who sang the song "Keçpelek" from the 1970 film of the same name to the accompaniment of the chamber orchestra. The guests of the concert were also pleased with the representatives of the Specialized School of Arts named after Sakhy Jepbarov, recently opened in the city of Arkadag.
Creative youth, adopting the rich cultural heritage of our people, is an exponent and guide of the national spirit and consciousness. The grandiose concert of youth groups dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Nury Halmamedov was the best confirmation of it.
