As part of the music festival dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the outstanding Turkmen composer Nury Halmamedov, the Mukams’ Palace hosted a concert of the Turkmen State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Rasul Klychev. The concert was held to a full house.

The concert program was opened by the well-known song "Ashgabat" to the music of Nury Halmamedov, which has not yet lost its popularity. Moreover, the video sequence to the song was about our capital of the 60s. Nury Halmamedov saw it in such a way when composing music to the poems of Geldi Byashiev. And both in those times and today it was beautifully performed by the People's Artist of Turkmenistan Atageldy Garyagdyev.

As soon as the friendly applause of the audience subsided, the spectators plunged into a retrospective of films, the music to which was composed by Nury Halmamedov. In this regard, the most significant of them is the movie "Shukur Bakhshi". The listeners once again became fans of the exciting competition of the two Bakhshi. By and large, the main character in this movie was the music of Nury Halmamedov, with which, as a weapon, two rivals fought: one to free his brother from captivity, the other to keep his place at the Shah's Palace.

The audience had the opportunity to empathize with the heroines of the films "Kechpelek" and "The Secret of the Mukams" again by viewing excerpts from these films to the music of a symphony orchestra.

Musical fragments from the movie "Japbaklar" amused the audience with the tricks of mischievous and witty brothers.

The film "The Decisive Step" once again won the hearts of listeners with "Ballad of Aina" and "Song of Artyk", which were beautifully performed by Gozel Annakhanova and Begench Moshshiev.

The concert program also included the "Song of the Border Guard", the 2nd and 3rd parts of the "Requiem" performed by Atageldy Garyagdyev, the symphony orchestra and the Turkmen State Choir.

The concert ended with the symphony "Turkmenistan" by Rejep Rejepov performed by the symphony orchestra. Here, the video series demonstrated the current white marble Ashgabat, showing what striking changes our country has achieved over the years of independence. Atageldy Garyagdyev, who is a soloist in the symphony, was joined by all the soloists who took part in the concert: Gurbanmyrat Jumaniyazov, Atajan Khemrayev, Gozel Annakhanova and Begench Moshshiev.

The audience thanked the musicians and singers with an ovation for the memory of Nury Halmamedov and great skill in performing his works.
