The current year in Italy has been declared the Year of Giuseppe Verdi - this is how Italians honor their fellow countryman, marking 210 years since the birth of the outstanding composer. Concerts dedicated to Giuseppe Verdi are held all over the world. The Grand Hall of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after M. Kulieva also hosted a concert dedicated to the author of 26 operas, which still serve as a model of musical art.

A curious case: the conservatory in Milan, where a young man in love with music wanted to enroll, did not accept him as a student, citing his lack of talent. Now, however, it bears the name of Giuseppe Verdi.

Verdi lived a long life. At the age of 80, he composed the music for his last opera, "Falstaff." The composer's main contribution was that he became a reformer of the opera art, expressing the truth of life in his operas and filling them with psychological musical drama. It was not enough to sing beautifully, it was necessary to live the fate of his characters. These were the requirements he had for the performers of his operas.

The concert, organized by the staff of the Chamber Ensemble Department, featured arias from Giuseppe Verdi's operas "The Masquerade Ball", "Sicilian Evening", "Rigoletto", "La Traviata", "Troubadour", "Aida" and "The Power of Fate". The performers were laureates of the State Prize "Turkmenistanyň Altyn asyry" Ayna Seyitkulieva, Bahar Durdyeva, Amangeldi Amanov, as well as Rovshen Bairamov and Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Bibijemal Amanova.

The audience warmly welcomed the performances of the vocalists, who truly lived the stories of their characters in the scenes. Besides vocal fragments from operas, the concert program included the performance of the "March" from the opera "Aida" on wind instruments by a trio of musicians: Babaguly Goshayev, Begench Rozyev, and Arslanbek Seitleyev. The piano part was performed by Zemfira Jepbarova.

The concertmasters of the evening were Stella Faramazova, a diploma holder of international competitions, and Vladimir Mkrtumov, an Honored Artist of Turkmenistan.

The concert brought true aesthetic pleasure to the listeners through the beautiful music of the Italian composer and the performance skills of Turkmen musicians and singers.
