New Year is approaching, the most colorful and magical holiday when adults and children await miracles and the fulfillment of their wishes. The spirit of the main holiday of the year is embodied in a new short film, the shooting of which is being conducted by the cinematographers of the Oguzkhan Turkmenfilm Association. Screenwriter Rahymberdi Annagulyev and director Sapardurdy Annaev are preparing a fantastic New Year's story with a deep moral meaning about the relationships between generations and their desires, which are fulfilled by Ayaz baba at the command of the all-powerful time.

The role of Ayaz baba is played by actor Yenish Yazmyradov, with Orazgeldi Durdyev (shepherd Bayram-aga) and Perkhat Babaev (his grandson Parakhat) in the lead roles. The film also features Begench Garlyev, Mahym Nuryeva and Rahymberdi Annagulyev. The film crew hopes that their New Year's gift will please viewers during the festive days when the film will be shown on television.

In these pre-New Year days, the Turkmenfilm studio is also working on a new full-length feature film "Magtymguly" dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the classic poet and thinker of the East. Director Shyhmammet Mollaev is shooting a feature film based on the play "Magtymguly Pyragy" by Gylychmyrat Kakabaev. Turkmen scientists and experts on his life and work serve as scientific consultants of the new film.
