The Free Creativity Center of Ashgabat hosted the award ceremony for the winners of the "Tebigaty söýmek – Watany söýmek" ("Love Nature - Love Motherland") contest, organized by the editorial office of the newspaper "Edebiýat we sungat" in collaboration with the Society of Nature Protection of Turkmenistan.

The editorial office has received a lot of interesting works from the readership since the announcement of the contest, held under the slogan of this year "Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar" and timed to the significant date - the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the Nature Protection Society.

In their works, the participants talked about the most famous natural monuments and reserves of Turkmenistan, praised the natural beauty, and shared poetic dedications to the nature of their homeland.

Based on the evaluation of the creative works, the jury announced the names of the authors of the best pieces.

The first prize for the best prose work was awarded to Ahmet Khalmyradov, the head of the historical and cultural reserve of Ahal velayat.

In addition, in the "Prose" category, the first place was taken by Gochy Annasakhatov, an employee of the State Library of the State Cultural Center. The second place was given to Odegeldi Kuliyev, a teacher of School № 30 of Kerki etrap. Zuleikha Gulova, a staff member of the "Dünýä Edebiýaty" magazine, took the third place in this category.

Cherkez Esenov, a mathematics teacher of school № 3 in Balkanabat city, was recognized as the best poetic dedication.

In the "Poetry" category, the first place was awarded to Ayt Kurbanov, a teacher of School № 91 of Akdepe Etrap in Dashoguz velayat. The second place was taken by Yegendurdy Yagmyrov, a senior lecturer at the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics. Suleyman Hangeldiev, a correspondent for the newspaper "Turkmenistan," received the third place.

The winners were awarded valuable gifts and diplomas from the Nature Protection Society of Turkmenistan. In particular, incentive prizes were awarded to the most active participants of the contest.

Founded in 1968, the Public Organization "Society of Nature Protection of Turkmenistan" carries out an important mission in promoting environmental culture among the population. The representatives of the Society contribute to the implementation of national nature protection programs, carry out educational work on a regular basis, visit nature reserves of our country where they conduct research activities.
