The New Year holiday gives new meetings with your favourite characters and heroes of fairy tales.

In Turkmenistan, one of the children's favourites is Uncle Ashyr, who greets the children every morning on national television. And during the winter school holidays, boys and girls from all over the country can not only communicate personally with Uncle Ashyr, but also have fun in his company at a festive variety and circus show.

Uncle Ashyr, Ayaz Baba and, of course, Garpamyk invite all the children to visit the «Vatan» cinema and concert centre, where students of the circus department of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture perform daily.

The program includes vocal and dance performances and performances by artists of original genres. Children and their parents will be able to watch the trained monkey. She deftly catches the ball, knows how to take off and put on a hat and even salutes like a real commander.

Among the spectacular performances of the concert is an incendiary performance with whips. The young artist so skillfully controls the quirt, knocking down the objects provided to him - from ribbons to simulated bouquets, that it takes your breath away.

The surprises don't end there. Uncle Ashyr offers to play a win-win lottery and asks the following question: «Which of the guests at today’s concert is the oldest?»

In the hall, among the smartly dressed children, there are grandmothers and grandfathers. «I am!» - voices are heard from all sides. Moreover, even children strive to declare themselves older than their years. But the winners are the venerable Yashuly and grandmother, who are almost 70 years old. They brought their grandchildren to the holiday.

The smallest spectator is also chosen. He turns out to be a one-year-old boy who came to Ashgabat from Dashoguz along with his entire large family. The winners are given sweet gifts, and the celebration continues.

Uncle Ashyr doesn’t let anyone get bored and invites the kids to the stage. The most active spectators are eager to dance and sing their favorite songs. Parents also cannot sit still and also rush to the stage to dance in a circle with their children, Ayaz Baba and Garpamyk.
