Recently, the three largest photography societies PST, CAPA and PSTw announced the results of their latest international competition, held under the patronage of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), the Global Photographic Union (GPU) and the Photographic Society of America (PSA).
Good news for the people of Turkmenistan is that our compatriot, Vyacheslav Sarkisyan, a photo correspondent of the Turkmenistan State News Agency (TDH) and a multiple participant and winner of international competitions and exhibitions, was awarded the silver prize by the esteemed jury of this competition.
This is not the first award given to the renowned works of the photographer: national Turkmen costumes, jewelry, carpets, horse equipment and others. This award holds special value for our compatriot, considering that his photograph surpassed more than 300 authors who submitted around four and a half thousand of their photographs to the jury.
Previously, Sarkisyan's works have been awarded special prizes in Russia, Morocco, China, USA and the Czech Republic. This time, in addition to the silver medal of the competition, he was awarded the special FIAP prize - an honorary ribbon with the organization's coat of arms and inscription.
