The procedure and conditions for granting the legal status of "National" to state circuses and individual professional circus collectives have been approved in Turkmenistan. The corresponding Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, signed in accordance with the laws of Turkmenistan "On Culture" and "On Circus and Circus Art", is aimed at further improving circus art of independent neutral Turkmenistan in the Epoch of the Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State and supporting the development of circus activities.
The document strengthens the legal foundations and gives new impetus to the development of circus art, which, due to the comprehensive support of the country's leadership, has experienced a genuine revival in recent years and has gained wide international recognition.
In order to strengthen the material and technical base of national circus art, the building of the State Circus of Turkmenistan was comprehensively reconstructed and equipped with modern equipment to enable technically more complex performances. The State Equestrian Circus named after Gorogly was built in the new "smart" city of Arkadag, where future graduates of the Aba Annaev International Academy of Horse Breeding, opened in September last year, can realize their abilities and acquired knowledge.
The structure of the university, equipped with modern computer, multimedia and other necessary equipment, includes the Faculty of Tourism and National Equestrian Games, which trains personnel for circus activities. The Academy has its own indoor arena for 315 seats, where all conditions are created for the organization of performances of national equestrian games, as well as training in various types of equestrian sports.
The bright and unique Turkmen circus art is represented in many countries of the world by the group of national equestrian games "Galkynysh" of the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan of the State Association "Turkmen atlary", and the group "Turkmen Jigits" of the State Circus of Turkmenistan, which have won numerous international awards.
The perfected art of jigits on the unmatched in beauty and grace "winged" Akhal-Teke horses, bright costumes and high emotional energy in performing the most complex tricks create a captivating spectacle of performances by Turkmen artists, ensuring recognition of circus art experts, delight of journalists and spectators.
Since the first triumphant debut at the World Circus Art Festival in Moscow in October 2013, the group of national equestrian games "Galkynysh" continued its victorious march around the planet, winning the main prizes at international competitions in various countries of the world. Currently, the artists of the group are preparing their unique program to participate in the 47th International Circus Festival in Monaco, which will take place in January 2025 in the city of Monte Carlo. The festival's organizing committee has officially invited the "Galkynysh" group to participate in this prestigious global show, considering the Turkmen to be among the best equestrian artists in the world.
