The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan invites schoolchildren to participate in an international Mathematical Olympiad dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fraghi, great thinker and poet-classic of the East. The Olympiad will take place in the city of Arkadag from March 25 to 30, 2024.

The international Mathematical Olympiad is held in order to implement the "Concept of Improving the Teaching of Natural and Exact Sciences in Turkmenistan" and the "Concept of Development of the Digital Education System in Turkmenistan," to introduce innovations into the national education system, to identify talented youth, and to integrate Turkmenistan's education system into the global scientific and educational space. It will contribute to the creation of optimal conditions for the development of skills, abilities and talents of schoolchildren, nurturing youth with a broad worldview, and choice a profession related to intellectual development.

The Olympiad is conducted in the format of an individual competition in one stage, divided into categories A and B. Pupils, who have graduated from school and are under 20 years old, have completed secondary school in their country less than a year ago, and are not students of secondary or higher educational institutions at the time of the Olympiad can participate in category A. Pupils not older than 15.5 years old can participate in category B. The number of participants at both levels is not limited.

The Olympiad consists of one round in which schoolchildren will be given 5 problems and allocated 5 hours to solve them. Participating countries can submit 3 problems for the competition. The proposed problems with detailed solutions must be sent to the organizing committee by February 25, 2024. Those who wish to participate in the Olympiad and their team leaders must register from February 15 to March 10, 2024.

The results of the Olympiad are determined based on the individual and group scores. The winners of the Olympiad are awarded gold, silver, bronze medals and corresponding diplomas of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd degrees. A participant who solves one problem completely but does not win a prize will be awarded an honorary certificate of appreciation.
