Turkmenistan plans to organize a series of events and creative contests throughout the year to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, great Eastern thinker and poet-classic. These events will also mark the slogan for the year 2024, "Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi," and the declaration of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world. M. Mammedova, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for Culture, shared these plans during a videoconference meeting of the country's government.
In addition to these activities, measures will be taken to strengthen the material and technical base of relevant institutions, enhance the qualifications and computer literacy of employees and introduce new technologies. This work will be carried out to fulfill the tasks arising from state programs and the Concept of Digital Economy Development, as well as to include multilateral and national nominations in UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
As previously reported, an international film festival called "Gorkut Ata" is planned for November of this year. Various TV programs dedicated to important events in our country's life, the successes of implemented policy and new achievements will also be prepared for broadcasting on foreign TV channels.
Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister reported on the planned activities in honor of the 100th anniversary of the birth of People's Artist of Turkmenistan Aihan Hajiyev.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the famous master of fine arts, it is planned to organize an exhibition dedicated to his art and a forum "Pyragydan Ruhlanan Ussat" with the participation of Turkmen artists, students of specialized educational institutions, as well as foreign guests.
Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the significant role of this sphere in preserving, studying and promoting the spiritual values and cultural heritage of the Turkmen people worldwide. Therefore, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to properly prepare for the planned events.
