At the State Museum of Fine Arts, a conversation between Turkmen artists and students of the Turkmen State Art School and the State Music College named after. D. Ovezov at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after. M. Kuliyeva. The topic of the conversation is Magtymguly Pragy in the fine arts. People's Artist of Turkmenistan Saragt Babayev shared with students of the State Art School a story about the creative process of working on the monument to Magtymguly Pragy, which, from the moment it was erected in the foothills of the Kopetdag, has become a cult statue of the great poet. By the way, this monument has already found a place in the paintings of many students of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan.

-A monument of monumental size, such as Magtymguly, 80 meters high, said Saragt Babayev, -is a collective matter. Here, as they say, one in the field is not a warrior. And once again I want to thank my assistants who worked with me in the workshop, in the molding shop, and also during the installation of the monument.

Senior teachers of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan Myratmergen Kuliyev and Alemsha Rejepov shared their own experience of creating an artistic portrait of Magtymguly. It is noteworthy that the mentors of creative youth performed under the portrait of Magtymguly created by Rahman Umarov, which is undoubtedly the best pictorial portrait of the poet today.
