The centenary of Ayhan Hajyyev will be celebrated at the Museum of Fine Arts After the competition, the portrait of Magtymguly was transferred for storage to the Turkmen State Museum of Fine Arts, where it remains one of the pearls of its collection to this day. The fact that the image of the poet occupied a large place in the work of Ayhan Hajyyev is also evidenced by the painting «Magtymguly – the Jeweller».
Among other works by Ayhan Hajyyev from the permanent museum exhibition is the painting «A Century-long Dream Come True», dedicated to the builders of the Garagum Canal. The artist’s brushes also include such paintings as «Difficult Years», «The First Teacher», «Science to Help Cotton Growers», «On the Harman», which testify to the involvement of one of the best artists in the fate of the country and people.
In addition to the exhibition, the «Pyragydan ruhlanan ussat» forum with the participation of Turkmen artists, students of specialized educational institutions, as well as foreign guests is also timed to coincide with the centenary of Ayhan Hajyyev in April. Forum participants will discuss the master’s contribution to national fine art and its popularization in the world.
Previously, the artist’s canvases represented Turkmen fine art at major international exhibitions. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, People's Artist of Turkmenistan, professor of art history Ayhan Hajyyev was awarded the State Prize named after Magtymguly for his work.
